Benson High School Combined Reunion

     In June, 1969, the last senior class graduated from Benson High School. Although it has
been 50 years since Benson High School closed its doors, it is still our high school and many fellow
graduates think that our school deserves a Golden Anniversary Celebration.

     Therefore, you are invited to the Golden Anniversary Celebration of the closing of Benson
High School. It will also be an excellent opportunity to see a lot of old friends. Since our first
combined reunion in 2009, we have lost a lot of classmates. So take advantage of this Golden
opportunity while you still can.

     The celebration will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the Barn at Broadslab
Distillery, 4682 NC Hwy 50 South, Benson, North Carolina. This is a fabulous event center, which
is four miles east of Benson. The itinerary is as follows:

                                                  4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.: Hugs and Fellowship

6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: Dinner and Fellowship

7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.: Music and Fellowship

 

     After dinner music will be provided by the Carolina SoulMates, a great group for 50's and 60's music, which includes several Benson High graduates.

     Dress is casual or whatever makes you happy.

     If you arrive early for the Reunion, the Benson Museum of Local History on Main Street is
open on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It is worth a visit.

     Also, Broadslab Distillery has tours and tastings on June 15 at 12:00 noon., 2:00 p.m. and
4:00 p.m.

     We have a brand new Hampton Inn at the corner of I-95 and NC 242 South if you need
accommodations. It is only 4 miles from Broadslab Distillery. If you wish to stay there, you need
to contact the Hampton Inn (919-701-8000) as soon as possible. It is averaging 95% occupancy
since its opening.
