Nowell was my big brother and my hero. I loved him beyond the moon.  He married Hazel and she was such a wonderful sister. She was always showed such class and compassion.  This couple showed me much love. They had three wonderful children; Sharon Smith Bostic, Robert Nowell Smith (Butch), and J. Nowell Smith, III. Sharon and Butch have passed away now, but J. Nowell is a super caretaker of the  rest of the family.
