Wow! What a night! What a weekend!
Thank each of you for taking the time and making the effort to return to Benson for our reunion. Your attendance and participation were the essential components in making the event so successful.
One classmate described the weekend as follows: "I felt like I had died and gone to Heaven, and all of my friends were there."
It was a magical weekend and one that we will never forget. Thank you so much for coming!
We've been asked: "When are we going to do this again? Are we going to have another combined reunion in the future?"
The answer is: YES! We will have another combined BHS reunion. Our planning committee has suggested that we schedule our next event in 2011, but we would like your opinion. Please vote on the BHS Reunion Survey (click on the 3rd tab on the navaigation bar on the left) and share your thoughts in our "Classmate Forums."
Website: What are the plans and how long will it be available for use?
We plan to leave the site up for our classmates to continue to use. We hope that it will help in reconnecting and communicating with our former classmates. Please encourage other alumni who may have not regisitered yet for the website to join our community on the BHS website in preparation for our next event in 2011! We wil also be adding additional features to the website in the future.
Reunion Souvenir/Publication/Slide Show Presentation: How do I get a copy?
We hope to produce a DVD, which will include the slide presentation from Friday night and many pictures from the reunion that were taken by Ken Tart Photography throughout the weekend. We have to work out the details with the Benson Museum of Local History, Donna Bailey-Taylor (who is responsible for the excellent slide show) and Ken Tart. We hope that we can use proceeds from the sale of this DVD to help fund the Benson High School exhibit section in the new museum location on Main Street. We will make an announcement in the near future about this DVD.
How can I send an email to a classmate if their email address is not visible on their profile?
It is easy! Just go to our website at www.bensonhighschoolnc.com. Click on "Classmate Profiles" and then click on the individual you wish to send an email. If they have regestered a profile on the website, you will be able to send an email. Type your message in the box provided and when finished, click on the "Send Message" button.
Reunion Pictures:
Please check out the pictures that have currently been shared with us! We already have over 500 reunion pictures that have been uploaded on our site. We will add the names to the the pictures at a later time.
We want to upload as many reunion pictures as we can get to our website. Please help us with this. If you have pictures, please share them with our entire group. The easiest way is to send your photos to jbonner178@aol.com and they will be uploaded for you on our "Photo Gallery" page.
