Tony and I lived in Smithfield for 25 years and moved back to Benson 9 years ago. Our children both live in Raleigh. I am a real estate broker with ReMax Southland and Tony is a substance abuse counselor with Johnston Counseling Services in Smithfield, a company he began 10 years ago. Our grandson, Spence who is two and a half is the light of our lives. We spend time at Holden Beach as much as possible. |

School Story: |

I will never forget the year someone nailed signs over principal's door, lunchroom, etc. Some were: Dub's Dungeon, Ptomaine Tavern, Hubba's Hole, etc. Can't remember all of them, but I think they were wood-burned signs-- lots of work for someone and hysterical for the rest of us. Also, I remember fondly the Sawleen Players and chapel programs, Friday night football and Jr./Sr.'s. |
