George Robert “Bobby” Salmon, 69, of Dunn was born on September 8, 1950.  Mr. Salmon passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Wake Medical Center surrounded by his family.  His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, in the Chapel of West & Dunn Funeral Home at 3 p.m. The Rev. Randy Beasley will be officiating the service.  Mr. Salmon will be laid to rest at Devotional Gardens of Dunn.  The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 1 from 6 to 8 pm and at other times at 142 Canna Lane, Dunn NC 28334.

Mr. Salmon's survivors include his wife, June B. Salmon; his son, William Allen Salmon and wife Jamie Matthews of Dunn; daughter, Kristin Nichole Salmon of Dunn; grandchildren, Destiny Salmon, Brittany Salmon, Alaya Parsons and Bentley Parsons; great grandchildren, Kaydee Willis and Abigail Willis; and his mother, Edna B. Marshall of Benson.

Mr. Salmon was preceded in death by his father, William T. “Bill” Marshall; and a brother, Donnie Salmon.

Mr. Salmon was an original founding member of the Benson Rescue Squad.  Mr. Salmon retired from Harnett Tractor Company in Dunn.  Memorials may be made to Benson Rescue Squad.
