James Harold Haller - Class Of 1961

James H. Haller, 71, of Frederick, passed away on Friday, March 13 surrounded by family. Born May 21,1943 in Prince Georges County, MD, he was the youngest child of the late Ralph E. and Ruby C. Holmes Haller. James was a devout Christian. He was raised in Benson, NC. After graduating from Benson High School in 1961, he proudly joined the United States Air Force. James was a dedicated government employee for 36 years. He retired from the Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Inspector General. James was an American history enthusiast and loved to cheer on the Washington Nationals and the Redskins. He never missed watching Jeopardy. He is survived by his daughters, Lara R. Cook and husband, Mark of Charles Town, WV and Kara R. Moser and husband, Greg of Myersville, MD; 5 grandchildren, Evan, Eli and Olivia Moser and Kennedy and Lea Cook; brother, David, and wife, Carolene of Millville,DE; sister, Jane Peterson and husband, William of Irvona,PA. James was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Haller. A private memorial will be held to honor James' memory. His family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers from Hospice and Visiting Angels.
