Lawrence Campbell

In August 1960, I married my school sweetheart, Dorothy Coats. Our son, Tony, was born October 24, 1961. Dorothy and I divorced in 1979. Three years later, I married Linda Denning. She died in 1991. I married Sylvia Jones in 1992 and have just celebrated 17 wonderful years with her in June this year. I ran my own country grocery store for 29 years. I later worked for Lane Gregory at Lane's Lube Express at 40/42 for 9 years. I am now retired and stay at home and do the domestic work, while Sylvia works for a CPA in Smithfield. We have 3 grandchildren, Morgan - 18 years old, Ricky - 14 years old and Allie - 20 months.

I was a school bus driver for 3 years. Wayne Parrish was also a bus driver. A lady who worked in the lunchroom had taken a large can of leftover stringbeans and put them in the bus to take home with her. Wayne took the can of stringbeans and set them in the street to get run over by a car just for fun. Before he could even get away from the can, a car did indeed run over the can and sprayed stringbeans all over him. After that we called him "Stringbean"!!!
