Rose Stephenson Jackson of Dunn, N.C. passed away peacefully at Wake Med Raleigh N.C. on February 11th, 2020 surrounded by her family.

The youngest of four children Rose was born to Helen W. and the late Chester Earl Stephenson Sr. and was proud to grow up as a Johnston County Native. Rose had a special love for the citizens of Benson and the surrounding Communities. A graduate of Benson High School, Rose retired from the NC Department of Transportation in 2004 with 28 years of service. She was a member of Mt Elam Baptist Church, Roseboro, N.C. and enjoyed living ”life on the farm”. Her kindness and beautiful smile were like a “Ray of Sunshine” to everyone. Rose will be missed by those whose lives she touched.

In addition to her Mother she is survived by her Husband, Thomas M. Jackson of the home. Danny Ray Stephenson (wife Dianne) of West Melbourne, Florida . Chester Earl Stephenson Jr. (wife Sandra) of Benson, N.C. Barbara Jean Stephenson Jones (Husband Donald) of Dunn, N.C. And many special Nieces and Nephews.

A service of worship and celebration will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM Mt Elam Baptist Church, 2211 Mt Elam Church Road, Roseboro, N.C. 28382 with the Reverend Brandon Glunt and Reverend Adam Jones and Reverend Ashley Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Skinner and Smith Funeral Home 905 Erwin Road Dunn, N.C. 28334 and other times at the home.
