Donald's caption under his senior picture was a perfect representation of who he was, "An honest boy who takes it on the chin, a good sport and a warm heart within." He was a person who would much rather give than to receive. He married his childhood sweetheart in 1970 and they were best friends who did absolutely everything together but golfing. He and his wife were caregivers for his Dad who died August 13, 2018 with dementia. Donald was diagnosed in October 2018 and died 19 days later exactly 3 months to the day after his Dad. Prior to his death he had expressed that if he was ever diagnosed with a disease like cancer that he wanted it to be so bad that there were no options, that he wanted to go quickly. He said he had a happy life! God blessed him by honoring that wish!
